This is the title

I had my first "outside" teaching gig last night. I taught an introductory PMC Class for Cazenovia College's continuing ed department. It was great! It shouldn't come as a surprise to me, I suppose, but I do really enjoy teaching. And it is especially exciting to teach Metal Clay because it's so NEW!

So the deadline for the Metal Clay Artist Magazine and Metal Clay Supply contest has been pushed back to sometime in April. I suppose I could try to make another piece for it. I'm pretty happy with the locket I made, but now I'm thinking that I've got so much more time, I could make something REALLY great. But I'd probably wait to make it the last week of March, I'm such a procrastinator! What is that about?

I'll be teaching at Caz College again next Monday, and then I've been scheduled for several classes over the summer. I'm so pumped about the Metal Clays that I have been pondering and ruminating on rearranging the store a bit to put a greater emphasis on Metal Clay. It's a scary process though, as I don't want to alienate any of my bead customers or give people the impression that I'm "not doing beads anymore". I just think the Metal Clay is such a great ADDITION to beading! You can make your own toggles, bead caps and cones, one-of-a-kind focal pieces. Whatever I end up doing, the store is due for a re-arranging and make-over!

I'm trying to decide if today will be a "work" or "play" day. I'm leaning towards play (making jewelry!) but that deadline for the newsletter and class list is fast approaching. Sigh

In other news, I've recently discovered and fallen in love with Regina Spektor. Her music is so unique and lovely. It makes me want to create unique and beautiful things! Check youtube for her videos of "Us", "Fidelity" and "Apres Moi". Just a few personal favorites!

I also love her music - just discovered her via Pandora a few months ago! Glad the class went well :-)
