I am very excited about the find my mom made today. She discovered these little dividers that fit into the wooden trays that the previous owner's father made...and they have grooves so you can slide a piece of plexi-glass over the top. So we spent the morning putting together the dividers, putting them in the trays and placing teeny boxes with copper and silver beads inside the compartments. I think they look so much better than the flocked gray trays which is what the beads were in before. But I ran out of teeny boxes, so I couldn't complete that project today. I also got in a huge order of sterling wire, chain, Bali silver beads, and sterling and gold-filled findings. I am going through the rather exhausting process of entering them into inventory, stickering them and putting them out for sale. Ugh. It's a lot less fun than you might imagine, especially when you have 500 tiny crimps that you have to put into ten packs. Luckily mom works for free!
Also, barbara barnell, the owner of Accents came in to the store today to introduce herself. I noticed that she spells her name in lower-case too. Great minds think alike. Accents is a funky little store that sells a little of everything: decorations for home and body. She used to occupy my store, and I have her to thank for the painting and other big cosmetic improvements of the space! She's also on the Manlius Chamber of Commerce, so a great contact and really nice person!
