DFB day 3

Today was my third day as the owner of DragonFly Beads (here after know as DFB). I have run through the gamut of emotions in the past few days. I was ready to close the store after the first sale on day 1! Was definitely feeling over-whelmed. Today I feel just whelmed. Not under-whelmed, because this is really exciting. But it's not comfortable yet by any means, so I think "whelmed" is what I am. Today was a pretty good day. I feel like I was able to get a lot accomplished. I broke up a lot of strands into loose beads, reduced prices, rearranged a little bit... The best thing about this job so far is the interactions with customers. Everyone has a story to tell, creative ideas and input, and money to spend! I mean, cause you know, I do need that too. But I honestly have met a number of really fascinating, friendly and creative people over the past few days!

I am really working on trying to put my own twist on the store, and I can't wait until my trip to Chicago where I plan to pick up lots of new beads. Maybe even scads if the budget allows.

I'm not exactly sure how "blogging" works...do I need to introduce myself? Tell you folks my background, how I came to be where I am today, etc? Hmm. I'll save that for another day.
