A good week

It has been a good few weeks. I wish I'd written about them earlier, because now there's too much to report! I met up Chris and Jackie Rice, with Mindy, and with Holly and her husband Ron for dinner last Saturday after the Innovative Bead show. It is always great to see Chris and Jackie, and it was additionally great to spend some time with Holly and Mindy! On Sunday I went to the Innovative Bead Show and finally met Renu and Serita, who organize the show. What lovely people! Serita gave me a really great idea, that should have been obvious to me, but wasn't. I've been complaining about the parking issue in Manlius, and she suggested that I just tell people where to park! DUH, right? In every email, on the business card, on the blog, etc. THERE IS MUNICIPAL PARKING BEHIND THE BURGER KING! There is also municipal parking on the little street that goes to Burger King (I'll have to get the name of that street...would really help with whole telling-people-where-to-park thing.)

This past Saturday I had a PMC class and Christie came from Utica to take it with me! It was a really good group and I was impressed by everything the class made. I'm really looking forward to Christie's Chain Maille class, and need to get a photo posted to the blog and sent out and get more folks signed up for it. I also am looking forward to a class coming up in April where we'll make Russian Leaves...I met a woman named Kyla at the bead show, who agreed to teach the class! Uses delica beads to make very pretty and delicate leaves. I'll be making an elm leaf!

I brought Harry back to Camille on Thursday. It's only temporarily, while Colby is staying with me. It was hard to go from no dogs to two, and I felt that I couldn't adequately give either dog the attention they need. I do feel less sad though, with Harry gone. Kind of weird. He was bringing up so many memories of Gonzo, that I'm not sure I'll be ready to peel that scab again when Colby goes back to VT.
