Awww man! I got busted today by a "certain town" in NY where I may or may not be doing business...hope that's cryptic enough for the fuzz. Apparently I need a permit in order to display my sign on the sidewalk (the sign, by the way, that at least 5 people have mentioned in the past two days as good advertising "Hey! I saw your sign and had to stop in!"). So, now I can't advertise until I present my case before a certain town board and hope they approve my signage. Grumble. So, if you are reading this PLEASE tell people about the store! I may not be able to advertise with my sign until September, depending on when the next board meeting (and whether they approve it) and I have to bring it in by October 15 anyway. The rest of the summer without free advertising in the form of a (tasteful and simple) sandwich board. I need some good word of mouth. Wow, is this my first complaint blog? I apologize. I try very hard to not put out negative vibes, but this was a little irksome, to say the least.
On a positive note, my dad brought me an ice-coffee and delicious donut! It's a good thing I'm writing this entry now, before the caffeine and sugar high kicks in. OtherwiseI'dbetypingandtalkinglikethiswaytoofastandwithoutpausingforairspacingspelingorproperpunctuationwhew!

your blog makes me miss you dearly, but very happy that i get such a personable glimpse into your life. thank you for the birthday wish. it was july 21. i had a lovely time. my best friend, betsy, was in from seattle. corey cooked tons of excellent food for us. we did some flea market shopping. went to flying dog brewery. tubed down the river. and played and played in the funky neighborhoods of dc. a very special moment was when i drank draught allagash at a very cute and trendy cafe/lounge in adam's morgan. funtimes had. sometime, i would love to hear the uncensored version of your blog. too bad we can't do it over a couple brews. i think i may start an etsy store with some vintage clothes-- and eventually, my soap-- which should be underway very, very soon. just waiting to get my hands on some lye.
